It was lovely to see so many parents and pupils at our Cheese and Wine Evening. We hope you enjoyed looking back over the year and hearing about our vision for the future.  How nice it was, to celebrate the pupils’ achievements and recognise the hard work and support of our school community.

On Friday the whole school visited the Air Tattoo. It was a spectacular air-show and a day packed with fun and special opportunities to climb inside planes and meet pilots; thanks to all our parent helpers, in particular Mrs Bunny who made our VIP visits possible. To top off a wonderful day, Jasmine and Joseph came back from the STEM challenge victorious – Air Tattoo STEM challenge presentation winners 2017!

Forest School

One afternoon a week all class 1 attend ‘Forest School’ in the neighbouring National Trust woods where we have a dedicated roped off area of woodland. With a member of staff trained to lead ‘forest schools’, children get up to all sorts of activities from building dens to researching mini beasts. ‘Forest school’ follows an exciting curriculum designed for exploring the great outdoors. In addition, the whole school has links with National Trust rangers, who teach them interesting skills such as dry stone walling and bush craft.
